My Professional Journey
After graduating with a Communication and English degree from Simon Fraser University, I studied Graphic Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and British Columbia Institute of Technology. Soon after, I worked client-side in Marketing and started doing freelance graphic design, while learning about Photography at Langara College. I then joined a print company and eventually started my own print business. Returning to the corporate environment, I worked in Creative Services and learned about retail design, signage, merchandising, and construction. After obtaining the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, studying at the University of British Columbia, I worked as a Brand Project Manager for one of the most iconic athletic apparel companies. Next, I shifted paths and became an Art Director, leading the design department at a communications consulting firm. Currently, I work in Marketing at a health tech company.

Be daring
Stay versatile and try new things. Different experiences provide different perspectives. Make the best of every situation because everything is transient. Adapt. Change. Stay calm and be as cool as a cucumber. Embrace failure and embarrassment. Don’t take things too seriously.
Be about others
Seek happiness and spread kindness. It’s nice to be important, but more important to be nice. Be healthy and promote health. Empower and develop others. Encourage creativity and collaboration. Meet them where they’re at.
Be into it
Work hard and be persistent. Do good work even when nobody’s watching. Follow up and follow through. Fail, learn, try again. Improve. Progress. Kaizen. How you do anything is how you do everything. Demand excellence. Mastery, Mentorship, Make a difference.
